Literature Text

I've watched you every day I've been alive,
Wasting your money and drinking away your life.
The fact that you can keep a coherent thought,
Doesn't matter when you see how much beer you've bought.

It brings me to tears to see the way that you'll die,
Alcohol Poisoning makes me want to cry.
I spoke out today without even thinking
Doesn't matter what I say, you'll just keep on drinking.
A poem for my dad, who I recently dreamt died of alcohol poisoning.
The sad part is it's realistic; there has not once been a day in my life that he hadn't had at least 2 cans of beer.
Remember, everyone who reads this:
The worst kind of alcoholic is the one that can function with all of the alcohol, not the one who obviously needs rehabilitation.
